What is hypnosis or hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis is a normal state of mind of which people go in and out of every day while driving, engrossed in a movie or simply daydreaming and, it has been used for centuries
in many cultures as a safe and effective tool for self improvement and healing.

There is a state of consciousness the brain enters when it is receptive to suggestions. This state, alpha, or the daydreamy state, is known as the hypnotic state. The hypnotic state is a doorway between the conscious and subconscious mind. We may access the hypnotic state or subconscious when we allow the activity of the conscious mind to slow down and rest. Once in this relaxed state of consciousness, we utilize the power of the creative mind or imagination to enable the subconscious mind to focus on and receive the positive suggestions needed to facilitate desired change.
